When our prognosticators picked the correct team, I have made it blue, and if they also picked the correct score, I have made it red in the chart above.
This week Ron scored 8 points while Arun scored 10 points, closing Ron's lead to just 2 points.
Ron Young: 13+8 = 21
Arun Sharma: 9+10 = 19
I assume that Lev Milman, Duke student, is familiar
with the following famous words of George
Borrow—“youth will be served”. What he may not know,
though, is this—it’s a cookbook! Boston, 2.5-1.5
The champs are off to a rocky start and Manager
Battsetseg is cracking the whip, showing that even a
GM cannot count on his place in the lineup. Will
putting the blame on Blehm lift the rest of the squad
to show what they can do without him? Meanwhile, how
will Philadelphia respond to being the higher-rated
side for the first time? I think both sides’
uncertainty will balance out and expect a 2-2 tie.
Both teams are struggling to stay in contention, and
they look pretty close. The mysterious pictureless guy
on board four won last week’s match for Miami, and I
think that might play on Kiewra’s nerves. I’ll pick
the Sharks, 2.5-1.5.
I had begun to think that the other four players from
Tennessee’s team picture were actually cardboard
cutouts designed to fool the league commissioner. In
fact, I still expect a last-second “emergency” lineup
change, but I will play along for now. The Mechanics’
grip is powerful and Tennessee’s late swoon last week
looked hard to get over. San Francisco, 3-1.
