During the offseason, three members of the New Jersey Knockouts were at the United States Chess School at the Dean of Chess Center in New Jersey. GM Joel Benjamin, an all star in 2007,was the trainer, while NM Evan Ju and NM Victor Shen were studens. New Jersey hopes that this training will help to bring the team together, and push them into the postseason for the first time.
