New York Knights

Welcome to the website of the New York Knights!. The New York Knights play their matches at the Marshall Chess Club in New York City, right in the heart of Greenwich Village.

The New York Knights were considered by many pundits to be the favorites to take the USCL title in 07, and although they eventually made it to the SemiFinal after a dismal 1-4 start, they were eventually dispatched by their arch rivals, the Boston Blitz.

Although most of the buzz coming into the 2007 season was the addition of GM Hikaru Nakamura, the Knights excelled on boards 3+4, with WFM Iryna Zenyuk making the first all star team, while IM Jay Bonin made the 3rd team. This was the second straight year that New York made it deep into the postseason after a terrible start, but I'm sure that in 2008 New York would like to start things off on a higher note, and go into the postseason with momentum on their side.

With the deep pool of players in the New York area, fans look forward to seeing which players made up the 2008 Knights roster.
