UNITED STATES CHESS LEAGUE

TIEBREAK PROCEDURES:

If the match is tied 2-2, the following tiebreak procedures will be in place after a 10 minute break:

1. The 4^th boards for each team will play each other. The team that won on the highest board during the original match will choose their color for this first game. If all games are drawn, the lowest rated team gets to choose colors. The time control will be 5 minutes with a 5 second increment. The loser of this game will be eliminated and the winner will then go on to face board 3 of the opposing team.
   

2. This process repeats itself until all 4 players from one team have been defeated. Thus in order for your opponent to win the match, every single one of your team members must be eliminated.

3. Colors are reversed every single game. If a game ends in a draw, both players are eliminated. If one team is down to it's last player, then there will be no elimination on a draw, colors will reverse and the game will be replayed. Colors will reverse every single game under all circumstances.
